When I feel… DRAMATIC

If you are anything like me, your boring life needs some spicing up.  But, if you are anything like me, you are non confrontational and avoid drama at all costs.  Luckily, the CW’s “Jane the Virgin” is a thing and it has 5 seasons of hilarious, serious drama for you to get sucked into.

The unique thing about this show is that it is set up as a modern telenovela (don’t worry, it’s all in English). jane-the-virgin-recapThe audience gets pulled into the seemingly normal and ordinary life of Jane Villanueva (Gina Rodriguez) who prides herself or structure and organization.  She and her very serious boyfriend, Michael Cordero (Brett Dier) are getting ready to take things to the next level, while still keeping Jane’s vow of saving her virginity for marriage.

Just as everything seems to be falling into place for Jane, she is accidentally artificially inseminated and become pregnant… with her first crush’s (and now boss’s) baby.  There is more drama, but I will save it for the first episode for you to be surprised.  This show is funny and heartwarming with so much drama, but ultimately is a reminder of the importance of family.

I recommend this show to everyone and their dog (no, seriously: boys, girls, aunts, grandmothers, parents, golden retrievers, etc)  and they all give it glowing review (take my words for it). So GIVE IT A WATCH!

The first 4 seasons of “Jane the Virgin” are available on the CW app for free, Netflix (with subscription), and YouTube, Amazon Prime, iTunes, and GooglePlay (for a small fee).  Let me know what you think:)
